19 April 2019, Friday, 7am to 7 pm., Veneration of the relics of the Crucifixion, Basilicaof the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Michigan Ave.,Washington, DC 20017 in the Crypt.  There is a pause during the"Stations of the Cross" from 12:00 pm to about 12:30 pm.This has become anannual event. Please let me know if you can commit to even an hour to stand guard.I’m sure that everyone who is able will be spiritually moved to be so close to our Lord’s Passion as the faithful solemnly come before the relics in veneration.

DRESS: New Regalia (Official Fourth Degree Navy Blue Blazer with Fourth Degree Emblem Blazer Crest, Knights of Columbus Emblem of the Order buttons, Official Fourth Degree Gray trouser, Official Fourth Degree necktie, Official Fourth Degree black beret with Fourth Degree metal badge, Plain white dress shirt with button cuff (no French cuffs and no button down collar), Black socks and plain black shoes, Official Fourth Degree Lapel Pin (PG-113), Incumbent Jewel of Office, Past and Former miniature medals above left pocket, No name badge, Black dress belt, Service Baldric) OR Full Regalia (Black tuxedo, white tuxedo shirt, black shined shoes, black socks, tie, and cummerbund; PG-113 pin, no swords).

NOTE: As a schedule for maximum coverage, suggest that assemblies in Montgomery and Prince Georges counties consider the early/mid-morning times, Southern Maryland assemblies the middle of the day and the DC assemblies the later times. The shifts will be 10 or 15 minutes long depending on the number of CC at any one time. This is another unique opportunity to experience and express our Catholic Faith as well as a chance to introduce new Color Corps members to one of the many facets of the Fourth Degree.
